Internships
Pack Forest regularly offers internships to students seeking to develop and expand their forestry field skills. This unpaid internship is geared towards 3rd and 4th year forestry students or students in related fields.
Internships at Pack Forest generally require a three month commitment, during which the intern is offered shared housing and a small stipend. Shared housing amenities include wireless internet, telephone (local calls only), on site laundry, and shared kitchen and bathroom is provided for all of our student interns. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and utensils. Interns should expect to provide for any additional living expenses themselves.
International interns should expect to purchase a vehicle for their stay as travel will be extremely difficult without one. Pack Forest is completely inaccessible by public transportation; a vehicle is necessary to get around. A valid driver's license is therefore mandatory for participation in the internship program.
Visa requirements for internships will vary depending on your home country and it is the student's responsibility to ensure that they obtain all the necessary visas or visa-waivers to participate in an internship in the US.
